Merrill should stay another year at school because he essentially blew this year. Another year to get stronger and another year to improve his game. Then a year in Albany for seasoning, and then by 2014 he'll be ready to be a solid blue liner for us.

hopefully we sign someone or Zidlicky gets a 1/2 year deal and by the time its up he still has enough left for another year.

Devils have a team...I wouldn't want to play them over 7 games in the playoffs....that being said I'll offer Parise whatever it takes....even though he'll never leave Jersey.

...and damn Jersey is right...they couldn't beat us on a night Montreal won...and we passed the Lightning and Minny (both have games in hand tho so we're ok there)...

we have 2 scoring lines and a 3rd line that can put some goals in too

really would have never seen those lines coming but they look solid. wish they would put kovy back on the left. guess we'll see how sykora does without elias. secks for josefson but thats hockey.

can't say they were the lines i was expecting, but I think they'll work well. Having Poni gives us a legit LW that we didn't have with Tedenby. That line with Kovy might work well.
Parise-Elias-Zubrus is going to do work. If it doesn't work, put Kovy on the left and Parise with Zajac-Clarkson. But i really think P-E-Z is going to be great. .. no Sykora to slow them down.

I think Henrique and Clarkson can bring enough zip to keep Sykora in the game.. and the 4th line will be solid too.

I think this option spreads the skill out the most evenly. We'll see how it translates against the best and hottest team in the league tomorrow. ...and of course I"ll miss the game. Maybe there will be a replay after midnight.
